Electric Guitars: Yamaha Pacifica 112v or 102?
Just wanted to know which is better and why, in terms of features and quality.

Sorry, I meant Pacifica 012, not 102i am not a grat fan of pacifica and yamaha in general but
the pick ups are a great difference :
the 102 has 2 humbuckler , the 112v 2 singlecoil and one umbuckler; Umbucler have a stronger and fatter sound , while single coil sound a litle lighter and like bels (look on wikipedia for guitar pickups, or on dimarzio.com to see some pics and hear some sample)
the 112 has tap-coil (make a humbucler work as single coil) swich , so more sound options
the 112v has both so “can ” be more versatile (i will not guarantee)
In general the yamaha pickups are not so exellent (they can be changed with pro quality pickups in the future)
notice that 102 is no more in production.to know more go on harmony central (good site for reviews) and wikipedia(to understand what you are talking about)
