Alright, now that I got your attention I found a problem with my bass. The wire that leads from one of my pickups to the pot somehow came off.
Obviously I’ll have to solder it back on, but until I get around to finding my soldering iron or buying a new one, would I be able to use electrical tape as a temporary fix? I’m guessing it wouldn’t hurt to just try it, but I thought I’d ask in case there might be some problem I’m not aware of.
As you can tell, despite the fact that I can solder I don’t know anything about how electronics work =/nice way to get attention for your q :]
yeah, use electrical tape, it’s happened to me before and that’s what i did. be careful and don’t use to much, and try not to play your bass to much until you get it fixed, ’cause it has the potential to screw things up pretty bad if even one wire’s loose. get it fixed asap, but ’till then, electrical tape’ll work fine.
