Where can I get a good pickguard that I’m not going to put on my guitar?
I’m looking for a pickguard(white, pearled, pastel coloured, anything light) and it doesn’t have to be hgh quality because I don’t need it for my guitar(my Strat’s guard is just fine and my Tele doesn’t have one in the first place)I would rather it be a Strat or Tele guard because that’s what I have, I’m going to take it to a concert to ask the band to sign it, then hang it up on my wall:] but when i looked on ebay there was nothing there for a decent price(less than $10, i’m on a budget here;]) because they all had the complete pins and pots and full setup, and I don’t need all that.
Where can I get one for $10 or less that is JUST the pickguard,preferably Fender Strat or Tele, but I guess almost anything would work(besides P-bass, I saw some of those but I don’t really want one of them, I’m not fond of the shape)Thanks!
Plenty of people take a scratchplate, not many people take a guitar body or neck…
But if you insist, you might find a cheap one on a spare parts website (such as ‘axes r us’). Or use the one you have a jazz up your strat with a nice pearloid/paisley scratchplate. If you do find a cheap one it will be a strat, most common electric guitar in the world, so don’t bother looking for a tele scratchplate. And make sure you take a decent pen, some ‘permanent’ markers can just be wiped off a glossy acrylic scratchplate. And certainly don’t forget to peel off the film, that would be annoying if you get home from the gig and remember it.
