Does Strobe on String (SOS) guitar tuner induce photo epilepsy?
I was wondering if the Planet waves S.O.S. guitar tuner, which uses “strobe on string” technology (flashing LEDs to show if string frequency is out of phase) can cause seizures in people with photo epilepsy. please tell me if you know anything about this. thanks
I think there would be a pretty low risk, because this would be missing two of the major triggers:
-Luminescence contrast. Flashes from bright light to darkness (like strobe lights) or white on a black background. You’re talking about a red LED on a brown neck.
-Filling the field of view. The “bigger” the flashing things are the higher the risk. A really small light shouldn’t be too risky.
