When I play my guitar the notes sound to be too stacottoo, how do i get it to sound more smooth?
Hi, when i play on a clean tone with my fender hot rod deluxe, it will sound like you can really hear each note too much and they dont blend, what settings can i do to my anp or guitar to make it sound better? I have a les paul with kiillswitch, 2 volume and 2 tones, thx
Practice…. the problem is likely lies with your fingering technique and possibly with picking. Alternate picking (down and up) helps to smooth things out. With you fingering you are likely lifting your fingers abruptly. Practice sustaining your notes and gently lift your finger off when sounding the next note. It will take some practice, but once you catch on its pretty darn easy. practice string muting as well. I know a few players (beginners) that have a similar problem as you describe… Their problem is mostly with sloppy picking technique. Since I can`t hear you or see you play, I can`t tell for sure what you are doing wrong. But pay attention to what i said above and see if you notice a difference. Try and blend your notes ( sustain the note and gently finger the next one) You want to become more fluid with your technique. This takes practice, but it will come…keep trying.
Remember as well, that as you gain experience, you will find that you can literally play the note and pick the string with your fingering hand only. A good example that might explaing what I am getting at would be for you to go to Youtube and search for Andy McKee Africa. Watch how he mostly plays with his fingering hand only.. This guy is awesome.
