Warmoth Necks Vs. USA Custom?
I’m thinking about getting a new neck. I already had a very nice neck from Warmoth (minus the finish which peeled right off after I got some water on it), but with nothing to compare it too.
(1) Who cares about customer service. Warmoth has fine customer service. I got what I wanted and if you didn’t then don’t ruin this thread by bitching about it. I’m concerned with tone.
(2) Tone and wood quality is most important
(3) I heard Warmoth does a bad fret job, while USA a much better one.
(4) USA is selling fretboard blanks for $12 or $25 (I don’t remember). How can good quality wood be so cheap?
(5) Forget the headstock. Hendrix played with his guitar upside down and he didn’t care.Who has better wood quality and craftsmanship (which obviously both contribute to tone)?
Unless you’ve had both of these necks, it would be hard to compare, I’d assume.
Thanks!
You need to go with the Rico-Chic neck. It can be customized by color, weight, and either velcro or zipper.
