guitar effect pedal recommendation?
i dont know much about them. i want a pedal that can switch from a distorted tremolo effect, to regular distortion with a click of a button or from any other effect to another. is that about what they do? orr.. ha, idk. and does anyone have any recommendations for one? under $100 would be good too, thanks
There are two types out there. Single effects and Multi effects.
Single effects are known as stomp boxes.
They do one effect, like, distortion, tremelo, delay, chorus.

the Boss DS-1 is not the best distortion out there by far, just an example.
multi effects do several effects at one time. They let you program them into the multi effects board.

multi effects boards definitely cost more since they can do more.I prefer single effects. It’s easy to replace one pedal that went bad then the whole freakin’ multi effects board. and a lot of artists that I like use single effects, not multi effects. must be a reason…
you definitely need to play around with them though. ask your guitar store about it’s return policy. buy a pedal, take it home, try it out. if it sucks, bring it back the next day.
