So im a musician and am looking at the Ephiphone Les Paul Standard guitar, but i need advice.?

at the trans blue one. And i need advice, am i getting a good deal. it says one there they normally go for $1,082. and are on sale.
would it be better if i got one off ebay. the used ones normally go for $200. Would save me a lot of money.
But i guess what im really asking, is if first off im making a good decision and investment, and second if I’m getting my moneys worth. What do you guys think? Id like to hear from those who know a lot of guitars and pricing.I wouldn’t ever buy a guitar off ebay. You have no idea what you are getting. Guitar Center or for me musicians friend is the way to go. A lot of people will say play it before you buy it. I say play one like it before you buy. Sure there are going to subtle differences between 2 of the same guitar. But unless you are Truly a pro, you are probably not going to know it. Also I always end up changing the set up to the way I want it anyway. So yes, go to a store and play one if you can. make sure you like the feel, the neck, the way it plays and so on. Remember you can get it set up differently if you want. Then buy it from wherever you want. But not ebay. No guarantee there. Limited lifetime when you buy a new one. And Epiphone quality has gone up in the last few years. Is it Gibson quality? No. But is it Gibson price? No.
