what is the thing called to connect a guitar to a computer?
I’d like to get one for my bf for christmas, he makes basic tracks on reason adapted, and plays guitar, I know he’d like to be able to lay down the guitar over the top of the beats he’s made, and to be able to sample the guitar sounds. Also, a link to where I could buy this little gadget would be helpful, and he’s also open to using different programs for his music editing if the guitar doohicky comes with one thats better than reason.
What you need is called an Audio Interface, look for one that is intended for use for a single guitarist. Price range, $50 the lowest and then up to $100′s of dollars.
