I want to install a DiMarzio “Tone Zone”, DP155 pick-up on my Ibanez EX Series guitar. Is it wired the same?
I bought the guitar in like 1990 or so. It has a humbucker from the factory, but I want to teach my son how to customize the instrument. The Ibanez website no longer carries info on the Korean imported EX Series. Will it be as easy as unsoldering the existing wires and attaching them to the same positions on the Humbucker?
Should be .. You will need to know what is the positive and such if either one has in phase or out of phase switching. If not it should be No different. Have played since the 60′s Still play record concerts studio hardware software customized My own guitars.
