People keep screaming about saving energy, saving the planet, etc. But when this car was unveiled, people said they didn’t want it because they “DIDN’T LIKE THE WAY IT LOOKS”! How shallow, how vain, how spoiled the American public! All they care about is image, not substance. The body style was made for low air flow resistance.
Yeah I agree. A lot of people liked the look of the Volt prototype, but they had to make it more aerodynamic to meet the 40 miles per charge that they promised in all-electric mode.
Really, who cares what the car looks like? It’s a range-extended electric car from a major auto company, which is what a lot of people have been waiting for. So it looks like a regular car, so what? Suck it up and deal with it. The purpose is to reduce gas consumption, not look like a sports car.
