2008 Fender Stratocaster repacement bridge?
I got a new 2008 American Standard Strat a few months ago and the other day my brother was playing and he snapped off the tremolo bar off inside the bridge. I tried to drill it out but its there for good. My problem is I want to buy a new bridge but none of the music stores in my area or online vendors sell the 2008 specifically. I was able to find plenty of vintage style but I have 2 point and if I get one used it has to be 2008 since the string spacing is narrower. I found a few on ebay but there is quite a bit of Competition does anyone have any other solutions. Thanks
Hello! If all that is wrong with the bridge is the sheared off tremolo bar, you do not need to replace the whole assembly. The only parts you need are the counterweight (tremolo block, held in place by three screws) and the bar (tremolo arm). Check out suppliers like All Parts ( see http://www.allparts.com/store/bridge-parts-miscellaneous-bridge-parts,Category.asp ) or Parts Is Parts ( see http://www.guitar-parts.com/categories/22/9/Stratocaster.htm ), both of which are very helpful in getting you the right part.
