Replacing Guitar Neck?
I have a strat stlye old abiline guitar, i am an experienced player and its just one i picked up for cheap. I was going to see if you could put any strat style neck on it? will that hurt anything?

I agree with everything Dana said. He pointed out all the problems you face. If you want to give it a try, here is some information to help you.
Scale length. You probably have a Fender scale on your guitar, but check it to be sure. I am not familar with Abiline guitars and do not know what scale they use. Measure from the nut to the 12th fret. Then multiply by 2. That will give you the scale length. Fender uses 25 1/2 inches. You can also measure from the nut to the saddles, but since your saddles are adjusted to intonate the guitar, they may not measure out exactly 25 1/2.
Neck Pocket. Take your neck off. Measure across the heel. Fender uses 2 3/16ths. Other brands commonly use 2 1/4 inches. While you have the neck out, measure the depth of the neck at the heel.
Now you have the information to browse at some other necks. If you have a 25 1/2 scale and a 2 3/16 neck pocket, you can probably put a Fender or Squier neck on there without much trouble.
