Can a 11 hole pick guard fit a guitar with an 8 hole pick guard without major body work?
Its a Squier Strat by Fender.
It’s a lot nicer than normal ones however.
But I can’t seem to find any pickguards with 8 holes other than plain white or plain black and I would like one with that steelish look or some other design.Hello! Adding a few holes is about the extent of the body modifications that will have to be made to accommodate the 11-hole pickguard. The reason there are so few options with the 8-hole versions is that they are primarily used on the vintage instrument series, which originally had very few choices for pickguards. Just make sure that the pickguard you select will fit the Fender Squier models, which may be slightly different from the American and Mexican Standard guitar patterns in location for the pickguard holes, neck pocket, tremolo bridge cutout, pickup locations, and overall perimeter.
