Is it okay for me to play my classical guitar just like a steel string?
I don’t really want to play it like you’re “supposed” to. I only bought a classical guitar for the nylon strings, everything else.. I want to play like it’s a regular steel string guitar. Is that okay, or will it sound weird? I really just started. Is it okay to strum the classical guitar instead of fingerpicking?
You can play it pretty much the same way, but I think classical guitars are more for chords and small shreds. Notice the strings on classical guitars seem to roll off your fingers more than regular acoustics, so it’s not easy to bend. And yes it will sound fine if you strum it
