I want to make a Custom Stratocaster?
I might just buy a cheap strat off of ebay then customize it but I would like to add custom color and a custom pick guard, I have no idea how to start does anyone have any websites(I know the pickups I want already Texas Special)

Like someone suggested Warmonth has parts. Stewart McDonalds, All Parts and WD also all carry Strat parts. Other than buying screws at those (because it is more convenient) I have found I can get parts at a better (lower) price on eBay. I watch the auctions for bargains to add to my parts box.
I don’t know of a website with step by step guides to customizing a Strat. However, I have seen a lot of good videos at Youtube. Go to the Youtube site and search for whatever you need information on. Say, you want help installing pickups into a Strat. Search that and you will find a few good videos. The problem with this approach is that not all the advice is good. I have seen some kids on there who really don’t know what they are talking about. Follow their advice and you may trash your project. So use a little caution before acting on the advice. There are videos there about setting up a Strat tremolo bridge, custom painting, even assembling a custom Strat.
Some things you should keep in mind before you start your project. First be reasonable in your expectations. The quality of the wood in the neck and body will limit the quality of the sound of the finished project. Putting great pickups on a lousy body generally is a waste of time and money. If the Strat body you get is routed for a Fender style tremolo, stick with that. If you want a Floyd Rose, find a body that is routed for a Floyd Rose. Decide on your bridge before you select pickups. Pickups have different string spacing and are designed for different bridges. You need to match the string spacing of the pickups to the bridge. Also there are more than one sized Fender tremolo. The imports have a different string spacing from Fender USA. Stick an USA spaced bridge on an import Strat and the strings nearly hang off the edge of the neck.
Not sure what you mean by custom pickguard. Do you mean you want to design your own? Pickguards are tricky. There is 11 hole and 8 hole pickguards. Even if you get an 11 hole pickguard that does not mean the holes are going to match the 11 holes in your body. Generally have to change the holes to fit the pickguard. Also, not all Strat style bodies work with Fender pickguards. That is especially true with Yamaha bodies. A Fender/Squier pickguard does not fit. Wrong contour to the body, too long from neck pocket to bridge. It is a good idea to stay away from Yamaha bodies, unless you plan to use only Yamaha parts. The neck pocket on a Yamaha body is square. The heel on a Fender/Squier neck is rounded. They do not match. You can use a Tele neck on a Yamaha body because it has a square heel. Yamaha is not the only one that requires a square heel on the neck. A lot of the cheap Strat clones do. Don’t bother with putting upgrades on a plywood body. It is a waste of money. Get an alder body. I prefer swamp ash, but not everyone likes the 50s Strat sound. Alder is the sound most folks like. The fretboard of your neck will affect your sound. Maple is brighter sounding than rosewood. By the way, I think Texas Specials are only Fender spaced, that means you cannot use a Floyd Rose with them. Texas Specials are pricey. You will tie up some money in your pickups. Therefore you should have a good quality body to put them on to get full benefit of what they can do. Mex Tex are cheaper, and still sound pretty good. I have used those in 3 projects and liked the results.
I presume you know things like: the mid pickup has to be reverse wound and how to solder, and to use 250 K pots with single coils.
What else are do you want to know. Hot rodding a Strat is a pretty broad subject, I can’t cover everything here. I tried to hit some of the basics.
