  im buying one of these amps and need some of your advice on which one is the best tnx!

  I’m not familiar with the other one, but I think the Smokey is pretty cool.

  I don’t think it was ever really “clean” and it didn’t do metal distortion or anything, but it was fun to practice on, and of course showing off my pack of smokes when everyone knows I’m not a smoker…

  It’s worth it for the novelty alone.

  Just don’t expect it to sound all magical, it’s very grainy and can be on the hissy side. If you like grungey sounds, though, it’s gold.
