Beginner electric guitar tips.?
I was wondering if someone could help me out. Basicly, I would like to learn to play the electric guitar. I sit here now, having never really picked up a guitar, so i don’t really know where to start :S
Could someone give me some tips on how i go about it – Beginner guitars, do’s and dont’s etc, i would much appreciate it!
Cheers in advanceLearning how to play guitar on yahoo answers is a very bad idea. You will not get an enriching learning experience, but one that is very complicated and confusing. I would suggest getting a guitar teacher, but if that is a problem for you, you can go out to your local music store and buy a beginner guitar lesson book. That is the next best thing to a guitar teacher. I would suggest buying the hal leonard beginner guitar series books (there are 3 of them, but you can start with the 1st one.) They are quite effective. If you can get a teacher, you can probably find ads for guitar/music teachers all around your town, or you can ask a music playing friend for a place to get music lessons.
