looking for a semi bright sounding guitar?
So i want to play rhythm stuff but i don’t really like the metal sounding humbuckers out there. I want my guitar to sound somewhere in between the brightness of a telecaster and the darkness of EMGs haha. I was searching and i think what i’d really like is a guitar with P-90s in it, kind of the cross between single coil and humbucker pickups. So does anyone have any ideas on a guitar that i could put P-90s in and sound somewhat bright but not quite like a strat or a tele.
Josh homme plays a guitar with p-90s in it but its really expensive. I know of the epiphone Casino elitist having the p-90s as well but its also far too expensive. so basically i’m looking to make a cheaper version of one of these guitars.
also an amp recommendation would be appreciated.
oooo Nick Valensi from the strokes also plays p-90s in a guitar that originally didn’t have p-90s. Also weezer and the beatles, the clash, a whole lot of people use them but they’re kind of over looked.I would go with a Vox. You can’t go wrong.
