what string gauge should I buy for my guitar?
I’ve had the stock strings on my Washburn d10s for about 2 months now and its sounds as if they are going dull. I was looking at two different sets of martin strings to buy but I don’t have a clue what I’m looking for when it comes to strings. Not really sure what Information you need but I have reasonable hand strength and fairly hard caluses (not sure if I’ve spelt that right, but your finger tip hardening thing). I’ve also been playing for around a year ish

I’ve played a lot of different strings in the last 47yrs. For quite a long time now I’ve used the Martin phosphor bronze light gauge. The seem to sound the best on my guitar. But you may need to experiment a little and find the ones you like. They are cheap enough that you can change them often until you find what you like.
