I’m looking to get a new set of strings for my Alvarez. I am using Curt Mangan strings right now. They sound ok, but I have only had them for 4-5 months and they are already tarnished and bad. I play a lot of darker songs: metal, hard rock, etc. Stuff like Metallica and Disturbed, what kind of strings should I be looking for?
For tom….the reason I play hard rock/metal on acoustic is because that’s the only kind I have…I’m hoping to get an Ibanez RG2EX1 later in the year.I’d go for some Elixr’s they are a really good quality string.
