Will Gibson “Tulip” Tuner keys (buttons) fit stock Epiphone Les Paul tuners?
I have an Epiphone Les Paul Custom Plus with stock everything (except Seymour Duncan SH-2 in the neck) including tuners… I’m not positive what tuners they are, but I’ve always loved the Gibson “Tulip” tuner buttons over my simple gold finished buttons. I was wondering if I could buy just the buttons (not the whole tuner[s]) and screw them on my tuners… Is this possible, and if so, would it be as simple as screwing them on or would I have to do any special modifications, as well as what steps I have to take to install them… Remember, I’m talking about just the tuner buttons, keys, knobs, etc., not the entire tuner.
Thanks, Sam
(will these work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260790208873&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT )No, You cannot buy just key part of the tuner, you must by the whole machine head. They probably would not fit on your machine heads anyway because they are usually formed onto the shaft. Stick with the stock tuners. If it aint broke, don’t fix it.
