What is the Bass Scale?
Hello, currently im looking at purchasing a bass guitar online, and I’m wondering what the actual bass scale is. Is it the actual fretboard or from the begginig of the strings to the bridge?
Usually about 35″.
It’s the distance from the nut to the saddle on the bridge. In other words, the part of the string that actually produces sound.
On the fretboard, the 12th fret is the halfway point on the scale.
