pickguards for Squier P Bass?
I recently bought a blue Squier by Fender Precision bass and was wondering if anyone knew where to get pickguards for it because I loathe the 1-ply white pickguard that the bass came with. I would like to get a pearloid one, but I don’t know where to get one. So if anyone knows where I can get one, I would like to know, please.
The Squier P Bass pick guard is different from the Fender P Bass pick guard. However, it is likely that you can slightly modify a Fender P Bass pick guard to make it fit. You usually have to modify the openings for the pick-ups a bit. You may need to remove a little material from the body so you have room for the switches and you will need to drill some new holes in the body because Fender and Squier use different screw patterns.
