How do you attach a bridge to a les paul guitar body?
Im trying to build my own les paul design guitar, and ive got all the parts required from a guitar build kit, however i have no real instructions.
Ive found all the electronics info online, however ive found nothing that tells me how to attach the bridge and how to secure it to the body. Ive got the bridge, and the screws that mean it can be adjusted, however im not sure if i have to drill a hole in and secure these in or what?
Ive got most holes drilled already (for volume/tone pots and switch) however im stuck on the bridge!!!
Anyone help?
Hey, I gave you a few sites that may help you answer this question or at least put you on the right path. If anything, make sure, absolutely certain, definitely positive!!!, that your measurements are right on. If not, your guitar will never play right, or you will have to patch and redrill the post holes.
Also, I gave you information on the TOM (Tune-o-matic) bridge. That is the bridge for Les Pauls if you wanted to research it yourself a little more. But after reading these links, you will know the name to all the parts. Measure measure measure!!!!
