Should you use a Humidipak for acoustic guitars on an airplane ?
Hey guys,
I bought an acoustic guitar and I’m very protective about it so I bought a planet waves Humidipak since I’m travelling by plaine tomorrow. I wanted to know if I should use one ? I’m going to take my guitar on carry on, but wouldn’t the humidipak just drop in the sound hole when not lying down ? Would that be a problem ? And would the humidipak just explode or something with the pressure ?
If anyone ever travelled with a humidipak on an airplane please say so
ThanksThe guitar should Travel Ok just as long as you loosen the strings one turn and keep the case closed in flight then give the guitar a chance to rest when you get there.. If you don’t have a humidity meter you should buy one.. any cigar store sells them because too LITTLE humidity is just as bad as TOO MUCH
