’96 Nissan Maxima – MIL Light W/ codes P0325, P0500, P0600-John Paul?
About identical to an earlier (about 1 yr ago). I think the P0325 is a “ghost” and will be taken care of with the others, plus premium gas. I don’t understand the P0600, comm link failure, and/or where it could take place? In any of the wiring? Speed sensor replaced, harness checked for continuity to back of speedo connection-OK. Speedo registers just fine, no problems. Cruise remains engaged/works fine(actually has kicked out couple times) Pulled instrument cluster, tightened all three wire group connector interfaces. Checking Pink/blue ‘vehicle speed output’ to ECM tomorrow, along with ECM harness/connections. If the speedo/odom registers/functions just fine (with no driveability problems-good power), could the comm problem P0600 still be on account of speedo head unit? How could I check it to be sure? Thanks community.
Don’t forget to check the vehicles ground, ie…battery ground, chassis ground, and even ECM ground. If the ground connection is corroded it can restrict the current flow which usually causes a power feed-back problem. I have seen alot of different types of problems, do to power feed-back. I learned that electrical current is like a river, it follows the path of less resistance, and when the flow is decreased (like a dam), it will back up and over flow. So it is possible to have a pour ground and the vehicle still operates, but has some type of strange electrical glitch. Hope this helps and good luck. Christopher
