Bass Overdrive Pedal?
I’m looking for a Overdrive Pedal for my Bass. I’m fine with using both Guitar and Bass Pedals for it. The kind of overdrive I’m looking for leans more to Heavy Metal but would sound good in a fast pace gallop. Its hard to find any decent sounding Bass Overdrive, so like I said if you know any Electric Guitar Overdrive thats sounds good go a head and post it.
Whenever I need to provide decent overdrive, I use my Tech 21 SansAmp Programmable Bass Driver DI. In fact, I take it on tour with me and use it as my dedicated pre-amp so that I no longer have to worry about being surprised by a crap amp.
With this hot little gadget, you can get a TON of different tones suitable for all genres of music (slap, jazz, rock, metal, etc). The controls are Drive, Bass, Treble, Presence, Blend and Level. With Drive and Level tweaked right, you’ll move people’s bowels with your overdriven tone. Try one out. If it doesn’t suit you…you were probably looking for distortion, not overdrive.
