General electric guitar question?
I’m buying an ovation idea acoustic/electric guitar this friday. I think i’ll buy a fender mustang I amp with it. do i have to buy a cable or anything separate, to connect the amp with the guitar? thanks.
Before you buy the Ovation you might want to try some all-wood guitars so that you can get a comparison. People tend to be sharply divided over Ovations, some loving them and others, like me, hating them. I have never played an Ovation that didn’t have a thin, weak, treble-y tone.
To answer your question, yes, you will need to buy a cable to connect the guitar to the amp. The Fender Mustang I amp is intended for electric guitars, by the way. That’s not to say that it won’t work with your guitar but if your intention is to retain the acoustic sound of your guitar there are amps specifically designed for that, like the Fishman Loudbox Mini, to name one.
