Why is my Humbucker humming?
I have a Jackson DKMG and just exchanged one of EMG HZ H3 humbuckers for a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates and now it hums. It’s not very loud but you can hear the difference when you switch the pickup selector. I’m pretty sure it’s wired correctly and I shielded the exposed wire with electrical and foil tape. The other EMG HZ that I left in the bridge position is very quite compared to the Seymour Duncan. I soldered the Red(+) and White(-) wire together, connected the Black(+) to the output and grounded the Green(-). What’s wrong?
You have to buy a hum-canceling stack(this type of pickup doesn’t have a metal enclosure,it is sold apart)!!
