two a250k potentiometers?
ok my potentiometers on my bass is kind of messed up so i went to check how much ohms both need. and both of them are a250k ohms. is this suppose to be correct? isn’t one of them suppose to be an a taper and the other a b taper? sorry this is my first time changing potentiometers. its a yamaha bb1000 bass guitar
For the tone pot (the one with the capacitor attached), some manufacturers use a (audio) taper, and others use b (linear) taper. The taper doesn’t matter as much for the tone control. You can replace it with either and it would still work.
