I am getting really bad back pain from playing my guitar.?
I am learning the guitar and have been playing for 3 months now. I have recently purchased a steel strung guitar which is heavier than the Nylon one I started with. Back pain is becoming increasingly inbearable. Can you suggest how to avoid it or improve my playing position to prevent it happening. I play sitting down, would standing with a strap help?
If you already play sitting down, just use good posture, and keep your back straight. I have been playing for 22 years and have never heard of anyone getting back pain from playing so you might need to reconsider the source too
