  I got a job to teach a family friend’s son how to play guitar. I can play very well, yet can’t read music..?
  

  He is like 10 years old. I know a lot about musical theory and chordal structures and the notes on the fretboard, yet I still can’t apply what I know to a sheet of music for the guitar.. Other than that, i think I could pull it off. Any advice? Thanks!: )

  Buy beginner songs. Practice those. Then teach him with those beginner songs.
