1) during the whammy bar part (beginning) are you suppose to do a pulling (pull out away from the body)or pushing (pushin into the body) motion in the whammy bar??
2) during his live performance of it. in the middle of the solo, matt does this squealing noise. how do you do that??(around 4:45) and what does he play in the beginning too?? also how does he do that noise when he grabs the whammy bar and is about to do the intro?? (1:14)3) is it a hard song to play? (1-10?)
4) amp settings? (is delay and/or reverb needed?)
5) guitar settings? (which pick up) (i have two humbuckers)okay
1:14 : hes doing a Node harmonic, on what looks like the 5th fret, a node harmonic is simply getting a resonating noise by holding your finger on the string directly above the desired fret bar, the can be done on any string on frets 5, 7, 12, 16, and 24. and hes just using his whammy to add effecton the whammy bar part: the way i play it to get the right sound, i bend the string and give it some tremolo with the whammy bar (i bend the string, and i push down and let the bar come back up really fast)
on the solo hes doing another node harmonic to get the sound again, and incorporating whammy bar
its not a terribly hard song to play, but your gonna have to know what your doing
id give it a little reverb, and i guess there may be a slight delay on the verses
have your tone anywhere from 7 to 10, and your pickup setting should be to the closest one towards the bridge (when you look down on the guitar while you hold it, it should be set all the way to the right.)
id give this song about a 5 out of 10 on difficulty, definately a fun song to play, and a good song to jam out to in the car,
