Replace Headlight Knob on 1997 Jeep Wrangler.?
Yesterday I went to turn on the headlights on my 1997 Jeep Wrangler and the knob came completely out. It is normally used to turn on the dome lights by turning it one click to the left, and the headlight by pulling it out two clicks. The knob is a little black knob with a headlight symbol attached to a long metal triangular rod with a tiny point at the end. I would like to fix this myself if I can but I was wondering how hard it would be and if anyone had any experience or knowledge of how I could do this. Any help is greatly appreciated.
buy a replacement knob at a parts store then reach up behind the light switch there is a small button on one of the side’s or on top or bottom of the switch push it and pull the triangular rod with a tiny point at the end strait out let go of button the just push the new one in … you might have to
unbolt the head light switch to get to the button…
