How do you use Spinner Baits?
ok i went to go shopping for fish items and i got up a spinner bait.. looks like a little bug with many white medium size strings.. what are they used for? are they good? and what are the methods to use one of these spinner lures? since theres a hook i thought about hooking some spiced up hotdogs dipped in catfish bait for both catfish and bass!? i also heard u just cast then reel cast and reel with them
A spinner lure is its own bait. See if the package tells you where it runs; top, shallow, or deep. For example, you don’t want to use a diving lure where there are a lot of snags.
To use one you cast it out and retrieve it trying to mimic whatever it is the lure is supposed to imitate. If it’s a minnow you would reel in short spurts and jiggle the rod tip to make it act like an injured fish.
A one paragraph answer won’t do much good. Try to find one of those fishing shows that are on some of the sport channels and use it the way those guys do.
