Which wood is better to have a guitar made out of?????
I would like to buy a acoustic-electric guitar.
the choices are
Yamaha APX500 made with nato ($300)
and a
Aria FET-ELITE made with mahogany ($317)i was wondering which one is better, last longer, sounds best, pickups are good, neck, fret buzz, anything like that
and which one to buy
I play rock, soft rock, chords, picking.

Nato is closely related to mahogany. In fact, sometimes a guitar body is called mahogany when it’s really nato. Also, the guitars you mention are both have laminated wood bodies, so the outer covering of wood will have very little if any effect on the sound. Overall, the Yamaha is a better quality guitar. You’d have to go up to a $1000 – 2000 guitar with a solid rosewood body and a engleman spruce top to really appreciate the difference in wood choice.
