What do you call the door “lock” that is shaped like an eagle that comes on and off?
I cant find this ANYWHERE and my friend cant remember what it is called or where she got it.
It has 2 “L” shaped pieces of metal, one attaches to the door, the other to the door frame. when the door closes, they line up. You then take your eagle shaped metal piece ( looks like an eagle sitting with its wings open and has a wedge taken out of the tail ) and sit it on the 2 pieces of metal. This makes it so the door cant be open from the inside or the outside without removing the eagle.

This sounds like something that may have been made locally and not in large production. If it’s old you may want to take a picture of it and check with the local antique shops. you could also try the local hardware stores.
