can i get light or medium gauge strings for acoustic guitar?
i don’t know what gauge it is, but my acoustic guitar is too damn hard to press. so i’m trying to get light or medium, so what are the best light or medium strings for acoustic? and are there any difference in sound qualities of different gauges?
Changing to a lighter weight string may only partially help the situation. You should really take your guitar to a shop and have a proper set-up done, and get some help with purchasing new strings.
However, before you do anything, I’d check out the sites below and read what people are saying out there about strings. String choice is a very personal deal to a lot of people, and others couldn’t care less. You will just have to experiment to find the brand, material and gauge that works best for you.
