Why do kids prefer the box rather that the toy that comes in it ?
I bought my 3 children a toy each yesterday whilst out shopping as a little treat. All 3 of them are currently sat there playing with the box !!!! not the toy why is this ? Save me a fortune at christmas tho lol.
Children are very playful and imaginative. If you give them a toy, for example a toy car that can beep, blink etc, children think it’s boring because the car does it all for itself. But if you give them a car that can do nothing but ride if the kid pushes it, children will love it, because they can make their own sounds and stuff, they can do what they want with the car…
And it’s the same with the box – the children can do so many things with a simple box! It can be a garage, a cave, a pool for the fish, it can be a helmet, it can be a secret treasure… But the thing inside the box can be just one thing – the thing it is.
