how can i convince my parents to get me an electric guitar?
i have had my johnson acoustic guitar for about 2-3 years, and i will admit – i do not play it very often. i listen to music like screamo and rock and i can’t play my favorite songs on an acoustic.
how can i convince them OR how much money is a good electric (i might buy it myself if i have to)
The way to convince your parents is to show them that you are actually going to play. They bought you a guitar that sits in your closet and never gets played. If you were to play it every day and actually show some interest in playing then they might reward your effort. By the way, you CAN play you favorite songs on an acoustic also, just do the “unplugged” version. A decent electric guitar and amp package costs anywhere between $150 to $300. But if you don’t play your acoustic, don’t fool yourself into thinking an electric will make you want to play more. It won’t. Playing guitar has to be a passion. It has to be something you love to do. If you don’t want to ply your acoustic all the time then an electric guitar will eventually just wind up sitting in your closet too.
