Is there just a standard USB Guitar -> Computer Cable jack out there?
I need one so I can use Guitar Rig 2
So if I was just to get a USB cable and attached a Guitarplug to one end – I will then be able to use my guitar with Guitar Rig 2 (Audio software)?Anyone out there ever done this?
What kind of quality will I get out of using the Guitarplug?
So if I got one of these Guitarplugs or 3.5mm adapter and plugged it into my Computer and guitar, I will then be able to use my Guitar Rig 2 audio software?It sounds like you guys just plugged it in and used the regular speakers as your amp. Did you both have audio software?
well, i don’t know if there is USB-cable electronic guitar(tell me if there is?)
but there is a thing on ur sound card which have a line-in port(hole or whatever)
u got to get an adapter for it
usually electric guitar uses the 6.3mm jack, it’s those big fat and long one, and the computer line-in is the usual head phone jack which is the 3.5mm (the smaller version of 6.3mm, thin and short).simply get the 6.3mm to 3.5mm its the most cheapest way to do it i bought 2 adapter for RM2.50 which converts to USD is less that $1 (o yeah almost forgot where u can get them, u can get them at any digital audio shops, those that sell home sound system, cabling and stuff)
yup use the speaker as amp, about the software u mention im not 100% sure, but by right it should have pick up the
line-in and u will be able to use to software to enhance ur playing(im in both iT and music, so basic i/o can be achieve here. just think how are u going to be able to use the software on the computer if plugging ur guitar into the line-in doesn’t work?)guitar>jack>adapter>soundcard line-in>out through ur speaker
guitar rig2 enhance the sound comming out from ur speaker and u can tune the sound and make adjustments. u should check out with guitar rig about the requirements but im telling u thats the way, they got the pedal but its still got to go to ur computer
