Switching Auxiliary inputs easily?
In my car I have an auxiliary jack wired under my center console into my cup holder. I am implementing this into a car computer that I’m designing and I’m trying to figure out a way to easily switch the input. I found a Y splitter with one female end and two male ends. I wouldn’t mind having both hooked up and just use one at a time, but I’d like to use a switch if possible. Any way to easily do this?
I also have one aux input in my vehicle but need two , the y adapter idea didn’t work and there was noise and problems so after trying many interfaces,relays,jacks i found the best solution for a dual audio input 2 sources,
this is what i have
1 ipod that listen most of the times and a gps with bluetooth
the ipod plays all the time, when the gps talks it stops the ipod audio and gives me the street turn instructions a few seconds later the ipod plays again and it will stop only when the gps needs to speak or when the phone rings,
i use a dual audio input interface with audio sensing ,this device detects the audio and switchhere is what i use good luck
