Also, when they say that the guitar is something like 30” or w/e, do they mean the whole guitar or just the neck? Thanks!Most full sized guitars have a 24.5″ – 25.5″ scale. That refers to the distance from the top nut to the bridge saddle. The number of frets can vary, and has only a passing relationship to the actual neck length. On acoustics, you often hear them referred to as 12-fret or 14-fret models. This refers to the fret where the neck meets the body. There might be 20 frets overall.
The overall length of the guitar will vary depending on the body style, but obviously it’s going to be somewhat longer than the scale length.
