Epiphone: Les Paul Standard or Black Beauty?
The time has come for yet another guitar purchase. I already have an Ibanez ICT700, but I’m looking for a softer guitar, but that can still handle some harder stuff, and I like the Les Paul design.
The choice is between the Les Paul Standard and the Black Beauty, where the latter costs around 1000usd, the first 660usd (Norwegian prices, meh.)
Black Beauty pros: 3 humbucker pickups, can handle more variety, gold finish and looks awesome.
cons: Severely costs more.Les Paul Standard pros: Cheaper, looks alright, and can do a lot of the same as the BB.
cons: Might not last as long, and the general purpose for buying a new guitar is for playing more of a variety, which I guess the BB handles the best.(?)Correct me if I’m wrong.
Which would you prefer? Thanks!
i like Les Paul Studios. looks so cool. you can get a Gibson Studio for $799(american money) or just the epiphone version for $299 (again american $$). but it really just depends on how much you play guitar and how good you are. if your just starting i would get the les paul standard. but if you are experienced and play alot maybe in a band i would go for the BB
