Which Fender guitar would be better for me?
Right now i dont like my currrent guitar, a Squire Affinity hss strat because I dont like the sound and i cant change all of my pickups because 1 is a humbucker and i would want to get lace sensor gold pickups but as said i have a humbucker that i would need to buy separately to change it and also its autographed and i dont want to ruin the marker signing completely (it has already been smudged a bit). So i fell like getting a new fender guitar. Either a Standard fender stratocaster or a standard fender telecaster. I would change the stock pickups for lace pickups (i believe lace sells telecaster pickups) and have locking tuners. I usually play Blues, Blues/rock rock, and sometimes pop. which would be the best for me
That is tough. I have both types of standards and they are similar but very different. The price is the same and both are great for blues/rock.
I like Teles better than Strats – but not by much and that is just personal preference. I like the Tele body big chunk of wood. It just works for me.
Honestly, all you have to do is upgrade the pickups on either type and you have a very decent guitar on your hands. MIM Fender guitars are great axes. You don’t have to upgrade the tunes because they work fine.
What I would do is go to a Guitar Center near you and try out a couple of each. Then, I would take home the one that spoke loudest to me – that I liked the most.
