tuning my guitar but it’s saying 3rd string is F when it’s supposed to be G HELP PLEASE!?
Okay so i’m using an electric guitar tuner and i’m trying to tune it to standard tuning but it’s saying that the 3rd string which is supposed to be a G is an F
Also the 1st string which is a high E it’s saying it’s flickering between D# AND e but it’s mostly saying on D#! How do i fix it, i’ve tried turning the machine heads but it’s not making a difference – what way am i supposed to be turning anyway i don’t want them to snap!
Also what Hz is the electronic turner supposed to be on? It’s currently on 440Hz. I have a Crafter TG-200H Chromatic tuner.

If the 3rd string should be a G but is reading an “F”, tune up. Plus if the strings are new they’ll slip a bit for a short while til they’ll finally set in. So expect a little settling in time til the G stops slipping back to F. Same applies to the high E string.
Worse case, you _may_ have a problem with your guitar’s intonation, but you’ll only know if you take it to a repair person. I wouldn’t go that route until after a few days & you’re still having tuning problems.
Also, the 440 bit means its on standard tuning.
You know the common image of an orchestra tuning to one single note before starting to play?
That single note is “A” 440.
