Best Fender Jazzmaster Guitar Strap?
I just got a Jazzmaster guitar copy and I noticed that my Nylon Dunlop guitar makes the guitar completely perpendicular to my body when I stand up. This makes it really difficult to view the fretboard since there is no kind of angle (unlike the slight angle I had with an older fender strat I had). Any particular straps eliminate/reduce this so I can see the fretboard slightly when I look down from a standing position?
Tom, I would suggest that it is really not your guitar strap design causing the lack of fretboard perspective; rather, it is the adjustment of the strap that needs to be addressed. The backside body contours of the Stratocaster and Jazzmaster are different enough to where they will not conform to your own body in positionally the same way. I would offer that all you need to do is change the length of the strap to allow the Jazzmaster to fit more snugly between your chest and hips, giving you the desired slight angle view of the fretboard. If your current strap does not allow enough adjustment, there are plenty others on the market that do. Best regards, Dana
