Is there a strap button to replace an endpin jack on an acoustic guitar when you are no longer using a pickup?
I’m no longer using an endpin jack, which leaves a large hole where the strap button needs to go. Does anyone make a plug/filler for this?

Now, if you want to fill the hold, you will need a round tapered-type of dowel. You can make it yourself also. Make sure it’s 1/16″ bigger than the original hole. It doesn’t need to be more than 1″ long. The reason for this length is that usually, the screw usually is 1/2′” into the wood once it is screwed it.
By having less than 1″ , you risk splitting the dowel when you try to screw it. Better to have a little extra room to hold the screw. Don’t worry about the sound. It is unaffected.
When you try the dowel, and you see that it will fight snug, add white carpenter’s glue first, then push the dowel in. If you want a good tight bond. Use contact glue which is what I suggest.
You add glue to the opening first , and then to the dowel. Let it rest 5 minutes or more until it becomes tacky. Now gently push the dowel in and leave it. Let it rest one day before screwing in the new endpin.
Don’t worry. The contact clue is like steel once it is set. Don’t over-tighthen the screw and don’t forget to drill a small hole into the dowel before screwing it in to prevent the pin from breaking and to make it easier for the screw to enter.
