Can you give me some examples of some good rock guitars?
I was really wanting to get a good rock guitar this Christmas and a good amplifier because I need a new one of those. Can you give me some models of some recommended guitars or some links to some that aren’t over $2,000 please. Thanks!
Good guitars for fair prices:
Squier Stratocasters – 150-400$ Not the guitar of you dreams, but very decent starter guitars however.
If you want a more advanced guitar:
Epiphone Les Paul Custom – 500-600$ Good guitar for the price. Will play you anything you want, especially in rock music.Good amplifyers:
For a starter I advice, even insist, you buy a Line 6 Spider amp. Better than any amp in it’s price class (+-100$).The amp I play on now is a Peavey Valveking 212. Much better sound, but also much more expensive (500-600$), so for starters I strongly recommend Line 6 Spider amps.
Whatever you do, don’t buy a single thing from these brands:
- Stagg
- Behringer
- BC RichThose brands are just plain crap. Sound bad, play uncomfortable and made of cheap, weak materials.

One last advice: don’t buy a starter pack. Every amp in a starter pack is plain trash and that’s just a waste of your money.
